Vocal Auditions
Voice Major Auditions
A Vocal Audition is required for all applicants pursuing vocal music degrees. You will audition with two solo songs for the BM in Voice, BA Pre-Certification (education track), and BA (general). For the BS in Music Therapy, BS in Music Business, and BA (liberal arts), one song is required. By performing or submitting a Vocal Audition, you are automatically considered for a Vocal Scholarship.
Scholarship Auditions
The Vocal Area has a number of scholarships available for students pursuing vocal majors and for talented vocalists in areas of need. Scholarships are renewable based on continued participation in vocal ensembles. Preference is given to vocal music majors.
AUDITION DATES
2025 dates be determined shortly. You can also request a weekday campus audition, which allows you to audition and visit Truman on the same day.
Ensemble Auditions
Choral ensemble auditions for Cantoria and Voci take place in August after students arrive on campus. For more information, see Choral Ensemble Auditions.
Opera and music theatre auditions take place during the school year.
